Not the way I thought it would go either.

I started with 16 things that people would find unpleasant and through a series of matchups, people voted, both on-line and in person on which was more unpleasant.

Yes, I asked random people about, “Which is more unpleasant?”.  Even asked a few people while pumping gas, asked a restaurant worker or two, asked several people behind the counter at stores and random people in grocery stores.

               Side note 1 – you know, grocery store.  No one says that anymore.  But it’s such an old fashioned word.  Get it?

Anyway…..

Round 1 matchups went this way:

Cut finger 37

I would have thought splinters would be worse than paper cuts, and I also thought shaffing would be worse when walking than blisters.

But what do I know …

So then we went into round 2, asking from the winners of round 1, which was worse:

In round 2, I would have thought stubbing your toe in the middle of the night would be voted as more unpleasant than sunburn – but again, I was wrong.

So then we went into the semi-finals about which was more unpleasant:

Not a lot of people voted in this one.  It was done over Easter weekend and maybe people were tired of the scenarios or maybe they didn’t see it.  But the final Un-Pleasant matchup was set.  So in the final match up, I asked which was more unpleasant:

So there you have it. 

Of the 16 things that were submitted as being unpleasant, people thought vomiting from food poisoning was the most unpleasant.

One person posted that I seem to have too much time on my hands.

Maybe he’s right.
