One of the things I do, is I try to enrich people’s lives with random knowledge.  After all, you never know when Jeopardy might be calling, and you want to be prepared.

We all know that Rick Springfield was not only a singer/songwriter, but he also was Dr Noah Drake on General Hospital.  Now, I am often wearing two hats at once.  I go from father of the year nominee to drywall hanger to professional limousine driver ….but, to go from performing Jessie’s Girl to performing open heart surgery – well that’s something else all together.

It was in this trying to give someone worthless knowledge, that I was shocked to find that not only did Lisa already know this, but it appears I might be the last person to know this.

I thought Rick Springfield was this only rocker of note to have  leading role in a soap opera.  See, I recently found out that Peter Beckett of Player, you know, the 70s band with the hit, “Baby Come Back” also appeared on The Bold and The Beautiful.  In fact – SHOCKED I was that Lisa said, “Yeah, he was Ridge on The Bold and The Beautiful.  SHOCKED I SAY.

BUT – here is one you might not know ….

I have two favorite Christmas movies: Elf and A Christmas Story.  But even I did not know that they share something in common.  Something I didn’t know until just this year.

It’s sad that I didn’t get to see either of them this year.  I got busy and didn’t get to see Elf and I knew A Christmas Story was on TBS, but I didn’t know what time it was on.

*Side Note 1 – yes, I know ……

We all know that Ralphie in A Christmas Story just wanted to Red Rider BB gun.  But why I didn’t know, okay, maybe you knew but I didn’t know, that Peter Billingsley who was Ralphie was also in Elf.

WHO KNEW!!!  

Shocked I was – SHOCKED.

Yes, Ralphie was in Elf, where he played Ming Ming.  Ming Ming was a toy production elf and he was in the “ Cotton Headed Ninnymuggins” scene.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU ALREADY KNEW ABOUT THIS?

Yes, turns out Lisa already knew this one too.

How can my blog be something if I have no new information to share, if I have no insights to bring to you, if I have no original thoughts or ideas?
