Curses.

Curses to Jeff Goldblum.

Or is it curses to Seth Brundle?

Either/Or – CURSES !!!

It’s all starting to come together and now I need to figure out whether to embrace it or try and stop it.

So, you know the story behind the 1986 movie “The Fly”.  Seth Brundle, the scientist, created a teleportation device and decided to test it on himself and send himself from one pod to another pod.  But, when he entered the pod, it wasn’t completely empty, it had a fly in it and the machine combined their DNA to become one.

And scientist Seth Brundle slowly transformed into a fly.

Well, with that in mind…..

As you know, because you faithfully read my blog, I’ve been dealing with a rotator cuff injury for several months now.

*Side Note 1 – And again , your reaching out with prayers and get-well wishes has been overwhelming.

I have a partial rotator cuff tear.  Surgery not really a viable option as the recovery period could be as long 6 months.  I don’t have 6 months to be idle right now.

PT has been ongoing and I do feel a difference, though not really much better.

It’s gone from mostly being quite painful to now mostly being highly uncomfortable.

An orthopedist has given me a higher dose of pain medication which does seem to have made a difference.

And my family practitioner got me something for the pain at night that puts me to sleep almost right away.

So basically, I’m coping with it.

And then it occurred to me.

It’s starting to come together.

First came the initial snake bite.

Innocent enough – or so I thought.

The shoulder injury was next.

THEN the snake bite that seems to have set the whole thing in notion

Perhaps the 1st snake bite was simply marking me.

And then – the next snake bite was the venom induced formula to tie the whole thing together.

I can only assume the snake venom and snake DNA is running through my body.

While making a BLT this morning, I had a thought.

I know, seriously, I need to stop making BLTs, that’s where/when my weird thoughts occur.

But, like Seth Brundle, the snake DNA might be mixing with my own.

Has the transformation started?

And you know how snakes have no limbs, right?

Well, my left arm is going to be the first to go.

Then, one by one, my other limbs and appendages will follow and then I’ll begin the final transformation into Snake-Man.

So, if when we meet, I go to hug you in an embrace, beware.

Because like the python, my hug might become super human in strength.

Still not sure whether to embrace the inevitable change or to take steps, drastic as they may be, to prevent it.

But I am leaning towards working to stop it.

If the snake wants to doubt my humanhood – BRING IT !!!
