The dog days of summer got to me and I got busy.
Hot. Busy. Tired.
Yup – that’s me.
I wanted to catch you up on a few things.
Plus – I have a few random thoughts.
Update or random thought – I’ll let you figure out which is which.
I’ll number, not in any order of importance, but to make it easier to separate things.
1 I’m a cultured and multi-talented man. I can use chopsticks with the best of them – HELL, I think if pressed I could eat soup with chopsticks. At a restaurant I’ll use chopsticks when I eat rice and sushi. I also use chopsticks at home when I eat sushi. There just seems something wrong eating sushi with a fork, or even your hands, it has to be chopsticks. BUT – when I’m at home I will eat rice with a fork and/or a spoon.
2 For those wondering – my snakebite wound is fine. But HOLY COW it hurt. Envision a hot needed going into your ankle. OUCH
3 The sign above. What’s the 1st thing that comes to your mind? For me, it’s, “Well, it doesn’t say anything about urinating”.
4 Living where I do and dealing with weekend traffic as I do – there exists no punishment too severe for those that block the intersection when the light turns.
5 or rather 4.1 – Maybe I’m just getting old but it’s crazy how when I drive on a back road, usually 1 lane in both directions the speed that people pass me. The other day I was going 56 (I think), the speed limit was 50 and I was passed by 2 people in a hurry to get somewhere going a ridiculous speed.
6 Jeez it’s been hot this summer. I mean seriously. It’s crazy hot. Tell me you’ve noticed.
7 My shoulder is still hurting. I got an MRI – AFTER ABOUT 2 MONTHS – but it doesn’t get read until August 2. I’m 50/50 about whether I want it to reveal something. I kind of want it to be ok and need nothing other than strength through PT. But in a way it would be nice to reveal something so I know why in the world it’s hurting so much.
8 As Kate approaches her sophomore year in college and Charlotte goes into 9th grade – HIGH SCHOOL. I shake my head in disbelief – HOW DID THIS HAPPEN !!!
9 Kate’s Boyfriend – yes, you read that right, Kate has a boyfriend – came up from Georgia to surprise her for the weekend. It went well. She was surprised and he’s a good guy. I approve.
10 We got a bushel of live crabs Friday night. $99 a bushel. They were #2s, but for $99 it was great. And that bushel was packed too. If you see the sign at 5-points in Lewes, do yourself a favor and stop and get a bushel.
That’s all I got right now.
