Uh oh…..
I overdid it.
But it was worth it.
Why?
Because we scored a touch down.
Well, maybe not “we”.
But a touch down was scored.
If the Lions win this game and advance to the NFC Championship game, then it was worth it.
I gave it all.
You could say I left it all on the field.
And you’d not be wrong.
Injuries are a part of the game.
Us athletes, we embrace the pain.
We shake it off.
The pain makes us feel alive.
But nope.
This hurts.
I think I need a trainer.
Sports injuries are no joke.
Careers are lost due to injuries.
Young or old – no one is immune to an injury that occurs in the name of competition.
Definitely a sports injury.
Not as young as I used to be.
But I’m tough.
I can still bring it.
With proper rest and proper PT, I’ll be ready for next week.
But I have to take care of my body.
What good am I if I’m not ready to go?
Oh? How did I get hurt.
Well, I sat on the couch on the side of the TV instead of the couch in front of the TV, the TV being on my left.
I bent down to tie my right shoelace when the Lions were scoring on a breakaway TD.
I twisted my body around to look left while leaning slightly to the right.
I think I pulled something in my rib cage.
But yeah, I’m calling it a “sports injury”.
