YES – the epic battle is over and all secrets will soon be revealed.

9:00 pm and I had to go to The Lion. Need coffee creamer. Went with just milk this morning and my coffee wasn’t pleasurable.

While there I (of course) had to check. And to my surprise, there was a plethora of product on the shelf. I had to count. 11. Yes, there were 11. I got 4, leaving 7 for you know who.

But as I was driving home, I was a bit saddened. See, I do enjoy this product, but perhaps much of the pleasure was in the hunt. Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve tried other competitors that make this and they don’t come close. And I’ve tried other flavors of this product and they are a no-go. But… the thrill has been lessened.

I have to wonder, what’s happened to my friend. Could it be he’s lost his taste for this? Could it be that he rations these out and he feels he has an adequate supply, and comfortable in his stash, he doesn’t need anymore?

OR – was he traveling from a Food Lion far far away and they were out, so he emptied the shelves here? And since he scored in Milton, did he make a weekly pilgrimage here to get his “fix”?

OR – is he only here in the warmer months and when the weather cools, does he go to Florida or someplace warmer?

OR – was he traveling cross country and needed to gather as many of these as he could for his trip?

OR, as I had theorized, he had a friend in the store that called him to tell him the product was on the shelf. Did he and this person have a spat? Did his contact get fired? Was his contact switched to a different department, perhaps produce, and this worker is too busy to look for my friend? Did this worker owe my friend money, but with his calling to alert him of the availability they are now even?

OR – was my friend in some sort of debt, and his debtor only accepted this product as payment – hey – it could happen!!!

The heart wants what the heart wants.

I NEED TO KNOW!!!!

If I asked, do you think The Lion would be able to pull some security tapes and let me peruse them? I’m sure I could (with Lisa’s help – which she of course would be very happy to assist me), figure out the day and time and perhaps find this person.

Why is there all of a sudden product l on the shelves the last 5 times I’ve been in?

Is my friend okay? Has he fallen down and can’t get up? Has he had car problems and can’t get to The Lion? Is he having financial hardships and can no longer afford these?

Has he tried other brands and has decided to switch. Nah… that’s just crazy. See, I’ve tried others and they simply do not compare.

Is it possible he’s seen my posts and has given up? Has he accepted defeat and has decided to succumb to my will power? Does he feel tremendous guilt that by emptying the shelf, he was depriving others?

I feel a strange kinship. Has my loathing and competitiveness been replaced with concern and compassion?

Do I ask the workers if anyone else, besides me, goes in for this one item and buy everything on the shelf of this one item (as I have)?

I NEED TO KNOW !!!!

Seriously – I NEED TO KNOW !!!!!

*Side Note – I got home and told Lisa about it and she simply sighed and said, “Ugh…. I guess you’re going to write about it”.

She is not mistaken.
